Hello Tyler et al,

I wanted to follow up and let you know that we were able to track down what appears to be the root cause of the performance hit your server has been experiencing (I have reported this internally as RTFACT-15562, for your reference). We are already working on a fix - I will keep this ticket open and update you as soon as the fix is deployed to your server. The reason we added this rule is that directory browsing was one of the things that lead to the performance hit you were previously experiencing (in conjunction with your permissions script, as previously described) so we believe it is best that we keep the rule at least until the fix is deployed.
If you require that this restriction be lifted immediately, please do let us know (as mentioned, the limit is strictly for directory browsing, not downloads). Otherwise, we will deploy the fix to your server as soon as it's ready, and follow with removing the restriction.
