In hindsight, this would have been an excellent question for Jenkins survey.

But that's too late, so I think we should put up a poll. If you can 
create a Google Docs form for this, I can write a post on 
http://jenkins-ci.org/node and hopefully we get some feedbacks.

I'm not exactly local to the city, but what looked good in Tokyo is 
university class rooms.

This limits the time we can have an event, but in Tokyo it was 
substantially cheaper than commercial conference room rentals.

Some of them might be willing to discount for open-source projects 
(which would probably come with restriction for vendor activities, but 
in a way that's good for us, right?)
