Yes, several weeks ago, we had cabbage died 3 times within a 24 hour 
time window, and so I spent some time looking into smartmontools.

Unfortunately, it looks like the hardware uses a SCSI RAID controller, 
and we couldn't get any conclusive evidence that it had a problem. But 
then, I'm not a disk expert.

If you know someone who can look at those data, the smartmontools are 
already installed on cabbage.
